Caroline Rody is a polarizing figure, who I personally loved, but I did read some scathing notes she left on other students' papers. She is reasonable overall, yet does not hesitate to challenge her students. This course was very doable in terms of assignments: two papers, a class presentation, and weekly discussion board posts. Very reading heavy, upwards of 150 pages a week.
