ENGL 3002 is way better than ENGL 3001 in my opinion. If you aren't a huge fan a classical/older texts, then you will likely enjoy the more modern literature read in this course. While this course does have a significant amount of reading and writing given that it is an ENGL course, the course load is fair compared to ENGL 3001 with Claire Kinney. Reading responses are for completion and the two essays are not that hard to write as long you read the texts. I felt like I actually benefited from going to discussion, and I did really in this course despite not completing a decent portion of the readings. I had O'Brien and Olwell with Jo Adams as my TA (she's awesome!).
