This course was such a great class; it felt like it was more of a meditative course. We were asked to make collages, take walks in nature, and we were allowed to write poetry about small or big topics. It was a very low stress, relaxing course. I highly recommend it especially for 1st or 2nd year students looking to fulfill requirements. You can totally take this course with 0 creative writing experience. Instructor: Caroline is a grad student who is passionate about poetry/creative writing. She always seemed like she just wanted everyone to learn to trust their own instincts and write! Grading: I would categorize this as an easy A course. She makes expectations incredibly clear so there is no reason to do poorly. The biggest assignment was the Final portfolio which is a collection of poems at the end of the semester; this is something you work on throughout the semester so it really was very reasonable. If you are interested, take this class!
