good teacher and easy class as long as you can sit through long lectures. 1 page of homework per week.

I took "The Public University" Fall 2023 and I definitely recommend it. Prof Shukla really just wants to create a space for dialogue and is super nice. There is not a lot of work, we had 1 or 2 short readings a week and would have class discussions on Tuesdays and group discussions on Thursdays. Participation was very much up to the individual. Do the very brief and open-ended journal assignments and you will get an A.
