Despite what might be your initial take, I think Professor Carter cares for students. He gives a lot of general advice and always encourages participation from students. You will need to talk a bit to be successful in the class, but other than that, it's pretty easy. I didn't think the topic was super interesting, but at least you can watch a few movies. Mostly just writings analyzing that, then there's a final project at the end, but it's not that bad.

Course is easy enough but Prof Carter has an irreconcilably evil heart and attitude towards students. You’ll make it through with participating once a class, coming to EVERY class, turning in homeworks which are due at noon on Sundays for some reason, and writing insightful(ish) assignments. Content and readings are actually interesting but you will get tired of listening to the same 3 perspectives and ideas.
