Overall, I would definitely recommend this class for econ majors. As an overview, you pretty much read a research study/paper for every single class. They can sometimes be long. Some are more interesting than others. However, the class touches on a ton of interesting relationships between variables (such as education and crime) in the real world through the lens of econometrics (different regression types). This class is not too heavy on the math though. 30% of your grade is quizzes, which are "pop" on the readings and average to like 1.5 a week. Eric does drop the bottom 6 quizzes, so this is not a big deal. 20% is participation, so just show up and talk. 25% midterm and 25% final. Both tests were reasonable and very doable, especially if you go to class. Overall, this class turns out to be relatively easy and very interesting if you go to class.
