This class is boring. I would try to take a different economics class if your not passionate about immigration in general, but if you have nothing else to take this class will suffice. The bottom line in this class is that immigration is supremely beneficial for the US economy.

McLaren is a very cooperative and helpful professor. The mid term and final are not terrible, and the written assessment is only a few pages. The material and lectures are rather boring unfortunately.

Please do not take this class. It is very boring. The problem sets have nothing to do with what we learn. Very clear the professor just wants to do research and teaching is not top priority.

Professor McLaren is super friendly and an engaged lecturer. He really loves economic models, so be prepared to spend most of the class learning relevant theories and studying applications of those theories, but there is also time spent learning about immigration policy. Siqi is a very nice TA and the homework is infrequent and easy.
