I thought the class was a lot of fun. It's all about putting yourself in the eyes of other people and trying to predict how they will act in different scenarios. The class itself relies a lot on intuition as opposed to facts or hard knowledge. Once the intuition clicks the class seems really straightforward, but before that happens it can be really frustrating.

This class is very difficult and uses very abstracted math (calculus) concepts. Even with a strong calculus background, I found this class very challenging. If you have not taken Game Theory before this class (which I have also heard is extremely difficult), do not take this class as it puts you at a distinct disadvantage. I eventually withdrew from this course. The problem sets and exams can be quite unreasonable, as well. And Prof. Larson does not explain things well enough in class for you to be prepared for the difficulty of these assignments. Unless you HAVE to take this class, I would definitely not recommend it.

Professor Larson was a very helpful professor and always available to answer questions during office hours. That being said, the class was difficult and moved at a quick pace. Doing homework with a group was crucial to understanding the topics. Tests were fair and followed lecture and homework sets. There was no textbook so lecture was very important.

This class is difficult no doubt and the professor doesn't do a great job of teaching the material so that it can be correlated to homeworks and/or tests. Sure some of the in-class auctions are interesting, but otherwise the class is less than entertaining.

pretty difficult class without a lot of substance. professor is not very enthusiastic, there is no textbook and the slides are pretty bad. problem set are very hard too but he does a good job curving the grades.

difficult class, homeworks were long and challenging, i often had to google search for papers online to help me find answers i never would have come up with on my own, midterms were also challenging but fair, and grading was very fair

tough conepts, but good class. If you like working through word problems, take this class. Don't know if I learned anything useful, but interesting way to look at things.

Difficult class, but well-taught. Larson obviously cares about his students. Exams are brutal though. Everyone pretty much does well though.
