Mirman is not as bad as many say. He is pretty funny and his midterm and final are not that hard. But no reading so you must go to lecture and take good notes. Study hard for the two tests and thats it.

Do not take this class with Mirman. He is the definition of tenure gone wrong.

There was no syllabus, book, professor email address, discussion sections or homework grades. The class lectures were interesting and informative. The final was much easier than the midterm.

You have to go to class. There is no textbook or discussions. The first test is really hard and the class average in my section was a 63, but the second test was ridiculously easy and everyone I know go a B+ or higher in the end.

Professor Mirman is my favorite professor at UVA. I would recommend his class to anyone who is interested in taking it. He has no textbook, no discussion sections, and there are only two grades (the midterm and the final). Be sure to go to class and you will be blessed with one of the funniest men at UVA!

Inefficient lecturer, tends to go on long tangents on irrelevant information. However he is fair when it comes to grading the one midterm and one final by weighing it so it will optimize your grade.

There is not enough reinforcement. But if you have considerable prior knowledge of microeconomics, I would recommend this class. Only 2 grades are the midterm and final.

Midterm and final is pretty much all you do. Do the problem sets and you'll be straight for the midterm and final.
