Not that exciting in terms of course material, but Heldt does a good job of going over some of the most important philosophies/writings from ancient China. You get a handout with main terms for each lecture so it is easy to follow along. Not too hard of a class and you do learn some, even though it's kind of boring.

Do not be fooled by the "1010" at the end of this course name. It is actually pretty difficult, especially if you have not had ANY previous experience with Chinese or Japanese history classes. Heldt focuses on Japan a lot (50%) & China was like 40% simply because everything is based on Chinese lit, then Korean lit was 10%. READ & STUDY IN GROUPS!!!
