My favorite class so far, but it may be difficult for some not-so-math type ppl.

Erickson is a great professor. The class consists of two midterms, online webwork due twice a week, and a final. This subject is very hit or miss for most people. Some people just get it immediately, and will get an A no problem. Others will struggle for a B though. Consequently, it's tough to categorize if this class is easy or hard.
The class wasn't too bad if you did the reading beforehand and did the homework ASAP. That being said this is one of those classes where some people just get it and some people don't. If you need to take Comm 201 though Erickson was a good teacher.
Great class
This is the kind of class that comes relatively easy to some and is very difficult for others. There are 3 tests (midterm 1: 20%, midterm 2: 30%, final: 40%), and you really have to study for these. If you go to class, study, and actually think about the problem sets as you do them, it should not be as hard as people make it out to be.
Erickson is one of the most approchable professors I have ever met. She is always willing to give you advice and to help out in any way possible. It isn't too hard to do well in her class, but it does require effort.
The class starts off very easy and progressively gets more difficult, but this class should not be impossible if you prepare really well and listen in class. The textbook has many errors, so it's very important to always attend lecture, even if you have enough participation points.
don't take this class unless you need it as a pre-reqt for the comm school. professor erickson is a very intelligent lady, but i felt a disconnect between lecture quizzes and the actual exams.
Mary Erickson is a god(dess). Intelligent, efficient, and witty. Accounting isn't as dry with her and I actually enjoyed this class, which I will never admit to anyone else.
not a bad class
