The class is not difficult and the material is pretty interesting, but I found Professor al-Rahim to be totally unbearable and pompous during individual interactions. So, I would say I'm a fan of the course content over the instructor.

He was an awesome professor who really has a passion for Islam and the class basically consisted of doing a reading a week and then discussing the reading in class and you can ask any questions you want and he is more than happy to do it. There aren't readings every week and the class is really really really chill. He is very understanding about everything and the paper you write at the end of the semester is about a really general topic about Islam and it is kind of fun to write. This class is an awesome class to take especially in today's current society and I would highly recommend.
