Dillary is a GREAT professor, he is interesting and brings the classical civilization to life in his lectures: I never even looked at the clock. There are many books you read in this course but don't let that deter you. The first half of the semester I did 95% of the reading, the second half I did about 35% and I got an A in the class. Dillary goes over everything in plot and importance in lecture (every time he starts clapping his hands you know its important). There are 2 papers, each 5 pages throughout the class and a midterm and a final. The majority of the exams are passage IDs, and you'll recognize them definitely if you do the readings, but context-wise, you'll recognize them if you just go to lecture as well. Definitely take this class!
