Obviously if you're taking Orgo you're most likely pre-med. The course is going to be tough either way, but in my opinion Sundberg made it pretty easy for people with at least limited exposure to organic chemistry from high school, etc. Read the book before lectures and you'll see he follows along with the progression, emphasizing the things he thinks are important. If you read after lectures you'll get bogged down not knowing what to pull from the text. Tests are honestly pretty easy if you do the previous years tests. Some of the questions are even the same. Don't expect his lectures to really teach you the information, although he is certainly excited about teaching it. You're going to have to read to really learn the material.

Sundberg is very nice, but in order to do well you have to read the book. The problem sets help raise your grade, and the curve at the end is pretty good.

Don't take this class for fun because it's not. To succeed in this class you must do the reading and pay attention to his lectures. Sundberg is an adorable old man who knows an unbelievable amount of chemistry. He's very easy to approach and will help you if you have trouble. Tests are very challenging, but looking over past exams will help a great deal. Questions are fair, but tough. Get a good group to work on the problem sets with because these problems really reinforce the material he will ask on exams. Overall this class is okay.

Sundberg is okay. Problem sets are hard, but managable if you get a good group. Tests are hard but pretty fair. It is difficult to gage your final grade because the curve does not come until the end. If you have to take orgo, Sundberg isn't terrible.

This class is difficult. The way Sundberg teaches is really dull but all of his notes are put online the next day so that's a good thing. If you keep up with the reading in the book, go to class and take notes, and have a good group for the problem sets you can get a good grade.

Professor Sundberg is an absolute blast. I thought organic chemistry was going to be the death of me, but doing the readings and coming to class was enough to get me by with an A. Put in the effort, DO THE PRACTICE TESTS, and it'll definitely pay off in the end.

Very boring, but if you study the practice exams the tests aren't bad. Doesn't teach very well, requiring reading the book to be necessary. TAs help alot with the problem sets.

Tough class but honestly I think he's better/"easier" than the other teachers just because of the sick curve at the end. Get a good group to work with for the problem sets and I think you should be okay!
