I really don't think the difficulty of this course is the instructor's fault. Too much material is covered and no matter how good of a teacher you are, not enough time is given to each unit. He's really sweet but be prepared to get frustrated when your grade isn't as good as you wanted it to be. There's a weekly quiz that covers last Tuesday's and Thursday's units. I reviewed both units before the quiz and did pretty okay, but just know that there are people who have already taken chemistry before in highschool who will bring the average up and ruin the curve. He tries hard to make up for how difficult the course is with cookies, but it really is a frustrating course. Good luck.
