Professor Morris only teaches at UVA for the summer courses I think. I truly enjoyed taking chemistry with him. I am a generally good student, but I don't enjoy chemistry. However, he is very knowledgable about the subject and teaches with enthusiasm. He provides many stories about real-world examples of topics learned in class and teaches at apace that doesn't feel rushed (especially for a summer class). He made me feel interested in the class and the topics. The class is set up so you have Mastering questions due before each daily lecture, and practice problems from the textbook after the lecture each day. It would take me an hour each day to read the textbook for the next day's class, and about 1-2 hours to complete the homework. I think he provided a reasonable workload, and was very prompt in replying to emails and hosting office hours. His tests were also not ridiculously hard, and were similar to the homework problems. If you have to take CHEM 1411 in the summer, you should take it with Professor Morris.
