This class gives a good overview of what goes into stormwater management (topics such as pipe design, SWMM, VRRM, BMPs, etc.). Lectures are not the most interesting or helpful. The class is definitely easier if you have some background information from an internship coming in. Professor Culver is pretty understanding and helps a lot if you have specific questions during class work time or office hours. We had a lot of time in class to work in breakout rooms on our homework assignments or projects. We had a few field trips which were nice and also got to hear from some professionals working in this field. There were a couple quizzes throughout the semester where we completed them first as an individual, and then again as a group. The final project was a lot of work, and I think concepts should have been explained better in class beforehand so it didn't feel so much like being thrown into the deep end of a pool. I would definitely suggest going to office hours to make sure you fully understand all the concepts! The more you put into the class the more you'll learn. #tCFfall20
