Mr. Nelson is an incredibly passionate and sweet professor. However, if you are not an architecture student and are just taking this class for a gen ed, please, please please take something else. From someone who has taken a wide range of gen eds, this is the most unnecessarily difficult course I have taken. The entire class is memorization and exams consist of defining terms and regurgitating information on buildings. Take an easy class.

This is an awesome class to take if you are interested in history! Professor Nelson is so engaging. Also, if you go to lectures, you will do well on the exams, but you should definitely take notes. I would say the homework reading isn't as important!
