This is a good course for those wanting a soft introduction to linguistics! I came in as a science major not knowing anything. The professor and course material were very engaging and interesting to me. There were times that the content was confusing and difficult due to it being linguistic heavy, however the professor acknowledged this and was very forgiving! The class itself was very discussion based and you learned everything you needed to, even if you didn't fully understand the article for that class. She is a wonderful and accommodating teacher!
