Professor Hamilton is a GENIUS in the world of hip hop music! Although his lectures often run a bit dry and he uses no visual aids (except the occasional music videos), he is very knowledgable and has evoked a new sense of appreciation for the hip hop industry in me. The class itself isn't too difficult - a typical AMST class with online discussion posts, papers, and routine attendance. He also puts together playlist that parallel to the units which is really cool! Definitely take if you are interested in the history of hip hop and want to get a chance to read Jay-Z's autobiography.
