This class is very interesting if you want to learn more about how facism intertwined with film during the time period, No prior knowledge of film is necessary and I think Prof. Dobryden did a great job with teaching any film viewing techniques necessary in order to accurately view the films. You need to watch all the films when their assigned though cause there were pop quizzes about them (really easy, 5 multiple choice), As long as you take good notes, participate well in class, and bring some insights to the discussion about the films, you will be in great shape. Prof. Dobryden is really nice and does a good job teaching the course. There isn't really a "midterm" exam, and most of your grade comes from participation and homeworks. The final is kinda tough but you get a bunch of note paper you can bring in and its only 10% of your final grade.
