Professor Mason tends to go on and on about Harlem Gang Leader but if you're super into photography and the history of black photography/photographers like Gordon Parks then this class is for you. Being able to study photographs helps a ton because I'd never done it so looking at photos was completely new to me. You have to write a 10 paged paper and weekly readings but the workload isn't too bad, just speak a lot to be sure he bumps you up for participation since he doesn't tend to give back many grades.
