I would highly recommend taking this class if you are at all interested in African Studies or even just learning more about Africa/getting a new perspective! This class was really eye-opening, and Hamilton is a great professor. Forum posts every week on news, one group project, three 4/5 page papers, and a 10-12 page final paper, and read about six novels. This class was a decent amount of work, but if you put in the time you should be able to get an A.
