Hard class, but was super interesting. The final project was incredibly time-consuming, so if you don't love the topic, do not take this class. There are weekly essays due, and they are graded quite harshly. The final project and presentation carry significant weight. I finished with an A, and that is doable if you do the work on time.

Lisa Shutt is incredible! This class is super easy in terms of assignments. One midterm paper, one final paper and two short writing assignments. There is a weekly quiz, but it’s super easy - just do the readings/watch the movies!

Professor Shutt is the bomb. She's the department head and very knowledgeable about the subject, but forces the class to direct lectures and we ended up learning a lot off one another. The readings are required every class and quizzed on, but the quiz questions are always super easy & you can get away with skimming. Readings are super interesting sometimes, and the movies we watch are usually cool. I'm really into this subject matter, so if you're not I wouldn't call it an easy A, but she's so nice and helpful and thoroughly cares about how her students are doing!
